Sunday 6 July
As is traditional on rest days no alarm was set. Needless to say I woke waaaay earlier than Tony, but he had done heavy duty walking for the last 6 days to I let him off.
We breakfasted mid morning, and used the campsite washing machine. The weather was again glorious so we strung out our washing to dry.
We faffed, and did things in very inefficient ways, just because we could We even had an afternoon nap, but it didn’t last too long as inside the tent was quite uncomfortably hot.
Internet connection which was advertised as being ‘ super’ was in fact ‘ super rubbish’. The router was re-booted once on our behalf but failed quickly after that. We had to come to terms with a(nother) day with no internet access - how would we cope !?
Tony checked the route that we were to take the following day, and horror of horrors, how would we manage - we had a whole 6 miles to do on Monday ! It turned out that due to the total lack of accommodation options in the general area that we needed for Monday evening that we had arranged a location on the near side of the chosen area. This was not a bad thing at all, it meant that we needed no alarm setting for a 2nd morning in a row and could enjoy the half day of walking / cycling that was to come.
